IDS NEXT Hotel ERP, FortuneNEXT6i Becomes PA DSS Compliant

Bangalore, February 5, 2013FortuneNEXT6i, the newest version of IDS NEXT’s Hotel ERP, gets PA DSS Compliance Certification.

IDS NEXT is a global leader in ERP and total technology solutions for the hospitality and leisure industries, and has been pioneering hospitality technology in India for the last 25 years.

With the Payment Application Data Security Standards (PA DSS) v2.0. Certification, IDS NEXT’s Hotel ERP becomes the first Indian Hotel ERP Solution to receive the certification.

Says Binu Mathews, President and COO, IDS NEXT, “We are absolutely thrilled to receive the PA DSS Certification as this means our 3000 customers can now offer greater security to their guest. The PA DSS certification is not currently required by regulation; however as an industry leader IDS NEXT felt the need to raise the benchmark on security.” “Hotels investing on technology like to ensure their technology is futurist and IDS NEXT likes to stay ahead of the curve. We expect regulations like PA DSS to catch up soon in our markets. As required by PA DSS certification, FortuneNEXT6i offers users AES 128 and SHA 512 bit encryption, which allows a hotel to move closer to being fully PCI DSS Compliant” he added

PA DSS was formerly known as Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) and is a global security standard created by the Payment Industry Security Standards Council for software vendors who develop payment applications. The standard is designed to enable software vendors to develop secure payment applications and prevent third parties from storing sensitive data such as credit card numbers beyond a stipulated time. The PA DSS is an effective method to protect cardholder’s data.

The new version of IDS NEXT’s Hotel ERP, FortuneNEXT6i was launched in September 2012 as a robust hospitality solution with a strong architecture. It has since been installed in India and Middle East. Some of the high points of the Hotel ERP are its in-built report writer, which allows hotels to create a host of complex, yet visually appealing reports through a simple drag and drop method. The ERP also has an interface to RezNext, the online real-time distribution platform. FortuneNEXT6i is packed with options that allow hotels to leverage the latest technology to enhance efficiency at their property, enhance guest satisfaction and thus grow revenue. The ERP also has an interface to a Feedback and Loyalty Management solution – Guest Dynamix, and a mobile restaurant e-menu application Envy Dine.
